The magic bus may coming to your area
by James Panero
Stefan and I are hitting the road this Thursday. Look for us in your town!
Thursday, October 12, 7pm: Stefan and I will join the students of Deerfield Academy, where the Philosophy and Religion departments will host a discussion on "illiberal education." In the spirit of the Market Snodsbury school of "Right Ho, Jeeves" fame, Stefan and I will also be presenting school prizes. This event is open to Deerfield students only. While Stefan makes a bee-line for Dartmouth Homecoming, I will be joining Karen Wilkin on Friday for a roundtable discussion on "Contemporary Art and the Future of Abstraction" at Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Joe Leduc wrote a little about this symposium in his piece for the October issue. This event is open to the public and starts at 2pm on October 13. The location is Hogan Campus Center, Room 519. Complete details here. Finally, on Saturday at 7pm, Stefan and I will join Jeffrey Hart and Emily Ghods at the Dartmouth Bookstore in Hanover, New Hampshire for a book signing and discussion of The Dartmouth Review Pleads Innocent. The title of our talk is "Double Secret Probation: How Gonzo Conservative Journalism Changed a School."
